Just wanted to say thank you for a lovely evening we had at the Swan recently, it was my husband’s birthday and we visited you on the 3rd August with our parents and 2 year old daughter. Our waiter was superb and went out of his way to help us and was extremely knowledgeable on both the food and drinks.
We had a great evening and I didn’t really get a chance to thank the staff properly. I will certainly forward the web site onto friends and will not hesitate to recommend you for both evening and day time meals. Thanks again for a great meal, please pass this on to all concerned, especially the chef as all the food was excellent. |

I want to thank you for having - yet again - coped so magnificently with our end of term "Cubs at the Pub" night. The children just loved the whole event, and are quite impossibly excited about it. As Leaders it gives us a wonderful opportunity to gather the parents together and talk to them about the Scout Group in a comfortable and informal situation. Tonight at least 3 people have come forward to offer to support us in ways that will be so important to the Group in future.
We couldn't get that sort of result without the social atmosphere and (perhaps) the drop of alcohol that loosens people up - you are crucial in providing that! Very many parents said to me how much they enjoyed this evening, what a wonderful venue it is, how we should invite more parents along....! |

We, the Mullins Family, just wanted to say thank you for making our Christmas Eve dinner at The Swan so memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation superb and the pub is quaint and charming. Our only disappointment of the evening was the lack of crème brulée for our son so we'll have to return so he can have some.
The family - we're American ex-pats - took a vote and declared the food at the Swan to be the best we've had in the UK in the 3 years we've lived here and to get all of us to agree on something is nothing short of a miracle!
Thanks again and we're looking forward to our return to your establishment before our boys head back to the States. |

We had a most enjoyable evening yesterday (Tapas night), and Valentine's evening was unforgettable. The food was excellent, service great and atmosphere extremely good.
In particular we should like to pay tribute to Nelson's exceptional talents as a chef, not only the top class standard of cooking, but the range and variety of his menus. He always seems to source best quality and fresh ingredients - a great asset to the Swan.

I didn't get to say good bye and thank you properly for an absolutely wonderful lunch today. The birthday girl really enjoyed it as did the others. Your wonderful staff, superb cooking and beautiful location have won them over. I knew how good you were just needed to get them there. The crème brulee was as good or better than you said it was and I just can't thanking you enough for a wonderful afternoon.
I truly wish I could take your pub back to America as I know it would be a super big hit :) |

Many thanks for the wonderful spread you put on for my 70th Birthday. Everybody praised the food and you could tell by the noise level that a great time was had by all. This last week we have still been on a birthday high and have had responses from all our friends who were delighted with the food. Hopefully next week will see us return to normal!
